Terms of Service
Effective date: July 22, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the InterfaceGuard platform, including the web application, API, VS Code extension, Chrome extension, and MCP server (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Cre8tiv Development Group, LLC (“InterfaceGuard,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service. By registering, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@interfaceguard.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
Organizations may invite team members under a shared Organization account. The Organization owner is responsible for all use by its members and for ensuring that members comply with these Terms.
2. Description of the Service
InterfaceGuard is an AI-powered UX/UI analysis platform. The Service allows you to:
- Upload screenshots or capture them via browser extension or MCP server
- Submit analysis jobs that apply heuristic, machine-learning, and AI-driven review
- Receive prioritized recommendations, issue reports, and fix prompts
- Manage projects, API keys, and team members
- Integrate with your development toolchain via VS Code, Chrome, and MCP
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. When material changes affect paid features, we will provide reasonable advance notice.
3. Subscription Plans and Billing
The Service is offered on Free, Pro, Team, and Enterprise plans. Plan limits (analysis jobs per month, images per job, API keys, project count, history retention, and available analysis types) are described on our Pricing page.
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as described in our refund policy. We may change pricing with 30 days' notice; continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance. If payment fails, we may downgrade your account to the Free tier or suspend access until payment is resolved.
Bring Your Own Key (BYOK): You may configure your own AI provider API key (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic). When you do, the Service routes analysis requests through your key directly to the AI provider. BYOK unlocks unlimited analysis jobs on all plans. You are solely responsible for any costs, rate limits, and terms imposed by your AI provider.
4. API Keys and Integrations
You may generate API keys to authenticate the VS Code extension, Chrome extension, MCP server, and any other clients you build against the InterfaceGuard API. You are responsible for keeping your API keys secret. Do not embed them in public source code or share them with unauthorized parties. We hash and store your keys securely; they are shown only once at creation.
You may revoke API keys at any time from the Settings page. We reserve the right to revoke keys that are misused or that appear to be compromised.
5. User Content
You retain all ownership rights in the screenshots, designs, and other content you upload (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant InterfaceGuard a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, store, transmit, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service.
You represent that you have all necessary rights to submit your User Content and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights or applicable law. Do not upload content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes intellectual property rights.
Analysis results, recommendations, and fix prompts generated by the Service (“Analysis Output”) are made available to you for your own use. We make no warranty that Analysis Output is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI-generated content may be incorrect; always review results before acting on them.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to submit, analyze, or distribute unlawful or harmful content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Circumvent rate limits, job quotas, or plan restrictions through multiple accounts or automated abuse
- Use the Service to train competing AI models or build substantially similar products
- Interfere with the Service's infrastructure, including denial-of-service attacks or unauthorized scanning
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
- Upload malware, malicious scripts, or content designed to compromise our systems or other users
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.
7. Intellectual Property
InterfaceGuard and its licensors own all rights in the Service, including the platform software, UI, heuristic models, ML models, analysis pipeline, brand, and documentation. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property rights to you. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or brand assets without our prior written permission.
If you provide feedback or suggestions about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use that feedback without restriction.
8. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. ANALYSIS OUTPUT IS GENERATED BY AI AND HEURISTIC MODELS; IT MAY CONTAIN ERRORS AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS PROFESSIONAL DESIGN, LEGAL, OR ENGINEERING ADVICE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, INTERFACEGUARD AND ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE FEES YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) $100 USD.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless InterfaceGuard and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, (b) your User Content, or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the Settings page. Upon cancellation, your paid plan downgrades at the end of the current billing cycle and your data is retained for 30 days before being deleted.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, if your payment method fails repeatedly, or if required by law. On termination for breach, any outstanding fees become immediately due. Sections 5 (User Content license termination), 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
